Hacker posts anti-Israel warning

By K. Srinivas Reddy

HYDERABAD, MARCH 23. The opposition to the assassination of the Hamas spiritual leader, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin by Israel found an echo on the homepage of an Indian Government website after it was defaced and anti-Israel and anti-U.S. messages posted on it by a hacker today.

The website belonging to the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa, with URL www.dtegoa.gov.in had a small photograph of the slain Hamas leader with a plea to stop the killings. The hacker, Apocalypse, had also warned: "We'll never stop our jihad until all Israelian DIE!!!" (sic). Another hacker with the name, `aikmel,' defaced two other websites and posted anti-Israel messages.

Meanwhile, the cyber war between Indian and Pakistani hackers appeared all set to start again with the Indian Hacker Club (IHC) ridiculing their rivals about their capabilities, in a message posted on a defaced Pakistan website (www.pmi-islamabad.org) .

The IHC, which had been dormant for over six months, claimed that it had defaced most of the .pk websites.
