VISAKHAPATNAM, MARCH 24. A child needs to be brought up with tender love and care and an adolescent needs to be treated like a friend, according to the former Head of the Department of Medicine of Andhra Medical College, K.V.G.K. Tilak. Speaking at a seminar on adolescent health and HIV/AIDS here on Tuesday, Dr. Tilak recounted his experience with adolescent boys who were tested HIV positive in which 90 per cent of them revealed that they contracted the disorder under the influence of alcohol.
