This Day That Age
The police have been alerted throughout the United States in a nation-wide effort to prevent foreign agents from smuggling small size atom bombs into the country. Orders have been issued by the F.B.I. whose chief, Mr. J. Edgar Hoover, earlier this year warned the police to be suspicious of any object seemingly unusually heavy for its size. The latest warning note tells the police not to dismantle any suspicious objects but to report the matter direct to the nearest F.B.I. branch. The new instructions point out that small size atom weapons can be brought into the United States by hand or even sent through the postal services or, for that matter, in the diplomatic bags of unfriendly nations.
