Election issues

Sir, — Prakash Karat says in his article, "Issues for the elections" (March 25), that India's policy should be to promote multipolarity and forge friendly relations with Europe, Asia and in the less-developed world, instead of impressing upon the U.S. that it is a more reliable ally than Pakistan. The remarks assume significance in a situation where the U.S. is trying to bring India under its ambit.

S. Sultan Mohiddin,
Cuddapah, A.P.
