LAHORE, MARCH 25. Leg-spinner Danish Kaneria, paceman Umar Gul and middle-order batsmen Asim Kamal and Misbah-ul-Haq have been included in the Pakistan squad for the first Test against India at Multan from March 28 to April 1. Batsman Younis Khan, and all-rounders Shahid Afridi and Rana Naveed-ul-Hasan, who found a place in the Pakistan squad for the Samsung ODI series, have not been selected for the Test series. The notable omission is Younis Khan, who with 1,680 runs in 28 Tests at 37.33, has a fair record in Test matches. The selection of Kaneria, who played a key role in Pakistan's series win against South Africa at home, was on expected lines. The left-handed Kamal, who made 99 on his Test debut against South Africa, is considered a bright, young prospect. The lanky Gul too has made an early impression in international cricket. The 30-year-old Misbah is an experienced hand in the domestic circuit, but yet to establish himself at the Test level. The squad has seven batsmen, four pacemen, two spinners, two all-rounders and a wicket-keeper batsman. The team: Inzamam-ul-Haq (captain), Yousuf Youhana, Taufeeq Umar, Yasir Hameed, Imran Farhat, Asim Kamal, Misbah-ul-Haq, Abdul Razzaq, Moin Khan, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammed Sami, Shabbir Ahmed, Umar Gul, Saqlain Mushtaq, Shoaib Malik, Danish Kaneria.
