LAHORE, MARCH 25. Following are the highlights of the fifth Samsung Cup one-dayer between India and Pakistan which the visitor won by 40 runs at the Gaddafi Stadium here on Wednesday night and the series 3-2. India recorded its first series win (3-2) over Pakistan in Pakistan. India, for the first time, registered three victories in a series in Pakistan and also for the first time, posted two wins in a row in Pakistan. India registered its biggest win in terms of runs (40 runs) in Pakistan. Under Sourav Ganguly's captaincy, India has won 64 and lost 52 against four abandoned games in 120 ODI matches. The Lahore win by 40 runs is India's 33rd win in 91 matches against Pakistan and sixth in 20 matches in Pakistan. Inzamam-ul-Haq became the first Pakistani captain to have won all five tosses in a series against India. Sourav Ganguly has lost all his nine tosses as captain against Pakistan. V.V.S. Laxman completed 2,000 runs when his score reached 58 during his innings of 107 off 104 balls - his sixth century in ODIs. Laxman is the 16th batsman to aggregate 2,000 or more runs for India. Laxman's innings of 107 is the highest for India at Lahore, bettering the 76 not out by Rahul Dravid on March 21, 2004, and the 76 by Ajay Jadeja on October 2, 1997. Laxman became the second Indian, to post a hundred against Pakistan in Pakistan. Tendulkar, with 141 at Rawalpindi last week, was the first. Laxman got his fourth `man-of-the-match' award. The third wicket partnership of 92 between Laxman and Sourav Ganguly is India's best vs Pakistan at Lahore, surpassing the 31-run stand between Sanjay Manjrekar and Krishnamachari Srikkanth in 1989-90. Mohammad Sami, with three for 63, took his tally to 11 in five matches at 27.18. He is the leading wicket-taker in this series. Tendulkar took his 100th catch, the batsman being Inzamam-ul-Haq off Murali Kartik. He is the second Indian after Mohammad Azharuddin and the 11th fielder in ODIs to take 100 or more catches Inzamam-ul-Haq, posted his career-best in a series, 340 in five matches at an average of 68.00. The seventh wicket partnership of 99 runs between Moin Khan and Shoaib Malik is Pakistan's best against India, surpassing the 74 (unfinished) between Abdul Razzaq and Moin Khan at Peshawar in 2003-04. Moin Khan (72 off 71 balls) equalled his career-best score. Against New Zealand at Auckland in 2003-04, he had made 72 not out off 68 balls The eighth wicket partnership of 53 between Moin Khan and Mohammad Sami is Pakistan's best vs India in Pakistan and second best only to the 64 between Salim Malik and Saqlain Mushtaq at Toronto in 1997 Mohammad Sami (23 off 17 balls) registered his career-best score in ODIs, surpassing his 22 off 30 balls vs South Africa at Rawalpindi in 2003-04. Sachin Tendulkar (37 off 48 balls) posted his best score at Lahore. UNI
