Three file nominations in Bellary

By Our Staff Correspondent

BELLARY, MARCH 25. Three nominations papers — one for the Bellary Lok Sabha constituency and two for Assembly constituencies in the district — were filed here today. K. Somashekar and Manjula of the Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) filed their nomination papers for the Bellary Lok Sabha seat and the Bellary Assembly seat, respectively, while N. Jilan Sab filed his nomination papers as an independent for the Sandur Assembly seat. No nomination papers were filed for the Kottur, Kudligi, Hadagali, Kurgodu, and Hospet Assembly segments, according to reports.

Our Davangere Correspondent reports:

Two candidates filed their nomination papers in Davangere on Thursday to fight the elections from the Davangere Assembly constituency. Geetha Murugesh of the Janata Party and Subhan Khan, who claimed to be a Congress worker, filed their nomination papers. It is learnt that though Mr. Khan was not given the B form by the party, he went ahead and filed the nomination papers.
