JAIPUR, MARCH 25. The Election Commission has appointed 75 invigilators to keep watch on the Lok Sabha election process and hold a vigil on the expenditure incurred by the candidates in the 25 constituencies in Rajasthan. The State's Chief Election Officer, Lalit Kothari, said here today that three invigilators would be sent to each Lok Sabha constituency. Two of them will look after the general poll process and one will maintain the records of expenditures of candidates. Mr. Kothari said the Election Commission had directed the invigilators to exercise vigilance right from the time of filing of nominations to the completion of the election process to ensure compliance with the model code of conduct and observance of the Commission's guidelines. The invigilators will also keep watch on the deployment of the Central and the State's security forces as well as the appropriate balance in their numbers. The monitoring of expenditures would be done by checking the candidates' affidavits and their accounts regularly to ensure that the expenses do not cross the prescribed ceiling.
