RANCHI, MARCH 25 . The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha today released its poll manifesto, promising to protect Chotanagpur Tenancy Act and Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act, demanding a special package from the Centre and fighting for the rights of Adivasis, minorities and Dalits. Releasing the 10-page manifesto, party chief Sibu Soren claimed the BJP would be wiped out in all the 14 Lok Sabha seats in the State as the people were disillusioned with the NDA's three-year rule. He said that the Congress-JMM alliance worried the BJP, adding he would also campaign for Congress candidates and expected the same from the ally. After weeks of stalemate, the JMM and Congress have reached an understanding under which the former is contesting five Lok Sabha seats, including friendly contests in two seats, leaving nine to the Congress and other allies. Attacking the Arjun Munda Government for the alleged increase in extremist activity, migration of Adivasis and illegal mining in Ramgarh, Mr. Soren said the State Government had `failed' to provide basic things like education, health care and drinking water to the common people. ``I am also concerned over the depleting adivisi population in the State. Rarely one can find an Advasi belonging to Birhor and Paharia tribes,'' Mr. Soren said stating the `feel good' factor had not reached the poor. Warning some parties not to play politics with the new State, Mr. Soren said the JMM was opposed to big projects which would displace people. -- PTI
