National summit on MFs

NEW DELHI, MARCH 25. To accelerate the growth of the mutual funds industry and create awareness among investing companies, the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry is organising a day-long summit on `Emerging role of mutual funds in wealth management,' here on March 27.

The summit, being organised jointly with the Association of Mutual Funds of India, aims at increasing the investment levels to those of advanced economies, an Assocham release said here. The chamber said the domestic MF industry had grown by 200 per cent in the last decade from Rs. 47,000 crores in 1993 to Rs. 140,000 crores in 2003.
