HYDERABAD, MARCH 25. The CPI released its first list of seven candidates for the Assembly elections on Thursday. The list includes G. Demudu for Chinthapally seat in Visakhapatnam district, P. Ramachandraiah ( Pattikonda), former MLA, G. Mallesh (Asifabad), C. Venkata Reddy ( Indurthi), Sayam Venkateshwarlu (Burgampahad ) and Ramavat Ravinder Kumar (Deverkonda). The party has been allotted nine Assembly and one parliamentary seats its adjustments with the Congress. The list of the remaining candidates will be announced on March 27. The seventh name on the list is Puvvada Nageshwara Rao from Khammam constituency, which is yet to be cleared by the National Council of the CPI. Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, State secretary said. No agreement had been reached on this seat with either the Congress or the CPI(M), all of whom laid claim to the seat. Mr. Reddy appealed to the CPI(M) to stay away from Khammam and said that it should be rotated between the two left parties with the CPI contesting this time. He also wanted a similar rotating agreement over the Mangalagiri Assembly seat with the CPI(M). Meanwhile, the State committee of the CPI (M) has released the second list of two candidates, Tamineni Veerabhadram and Nandyala Narasimha Reddy, from the two Assembly segments of Khammam and Nalgonda respectively.
