BJP panel for re-nomination of nine former MLAs

HYDERABAD, MARCH 25 . The State election committee of the BJP has recommended re-nomination of nine former MLAs and candidature of 13 others to the party's Parliamentary Board for approval. The committee, which met under the chairmanship of the Union Minister, B. Dattatreya, also recommended the name of the State BJP president, N. Indrasena Reddy, for the Nalgonda Lok Sabha seat and re-nomination of N. Venkataswami for Tirupathi (SC) Lok Sabha seat. The BJP had been allotted 27 Assembly and nine Lok Sabha seats by the TDP in the seat- sharing accord.

Addressing a press conference later, Mr. Indrasena Reddy and Mr. Dattatreya, said that the names of the aspirants for five Assembly constituencies -- Vijayawada (east), Mangalagiri, Yakutpura, Indurthi and Atmakur, besides two Lok Sabha seats, Medak and Hyderabad -- had been kept pending and would be announced on Friday. B forms for the candidates would be given after their nominations were approved by the Parliamentary Board. The BJP Board has already re-nominated three Union Ministers and two others for five Lok Sabha seats.

The following members of the dissolved House have been recommended for renomination: K. Hari Babu (Visakha-1), M. A.Vema (Nagaram-SC), M. S. Parthasarathi (Kadiri), K. Satyanarayana (Sanga Reddy), T. Venkataramana Reddi (Metpalli), G. Ramakrishna Reddy (Peddapalli), M. Dharma Rao (Hanamkonda), Dr. K. Laxman (Mushirabad) and Prem Singh Rathore (Maharajganj). The aspirants for 13 other constituencies are: Soma Veera Raju (Kadiyam), P. Dora Babu ( Pithapuram), Suresh Reddy, (Nellore), C. Narasimha Reddy (Thamballapalli), Achary (Kalwakurthy), Nagojirao Namoji (Makthal), G. Kishen Reddy ( Himayatnagar), B. Bal Reddy (Karwan), Premimder Reddy (Sayampet), D. Mallesh ( Ramannapet), Jagdish Mashettiwar ( Mudhole), Muralidhar Goud (Kama Reddy) and Balachander Reddy (Prodattur).
