Technical snag mars programme

The launch of the `Mana votu, mana bhavishyath' programme of TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, to contact voters over telephone was marred by technical glitches.

After his customary speech, when Mr. Naidu tried to receive the calls, he drew a blank. There was no response from the other side to his repeated calls to identified persons.

His attempts to engage a group talk simultaneously also failed. On a couple of occasions, there was also a cross-talk.

A skit demonstrating the use of electronic voting machines failed on the screen. After waiting for sometime, Mr. Naidu proceeded with his speech.

He could only speak to three or four callers while the arrangements were made to bring on line over ten persons.
