Congress activists stage protest

By Our Staff Reporter

MADURAI, MARCH 25 . Congress party activists staged a demonstration near the district court premises here today in protest against the undue delay in finalising the list of candidates for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.

They raised slogans against the All-India Congress Committee general secretary, Kamalnath, who is also in-charge of party affairs in Tamil Nadu, and burnt a placard bearing his name. Cadres of the Madurai (North) District Congress Committee, the National Students Union of India, the Indian Youth Congress and the Mahila Congress also took part in the agitation.
