THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 25. The first State-level model parliament for students, being organised by the State Parliamentary Affairs Institute, would be held in the old legislative assembly hall in the Secretariat on March 27. The representatives elected from the model parliaments held in the districts would participate in the State-level parliament. The Information Minister, M. M. Hassan, would chair the inaugural function at the venue at 10 a.m., while the Speaker, Vakkom Purushothaman, would kick off the proceedings. The session would start at 10.30 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. The children's prime minister, Rahul J. Nair, the `speaker', R. Krishna Kumar, and the `leader of the Opposition', Mithun Thomas, would speak.
