BANGALORE, MARHC 25. A 64-year-old woman died at a private hospital in Chamarajpet on Thursday soon after doctors allegedly gave her an injection. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Ramasubba, said that at about 11.30 a.m., Kamala Bai came to the hospital in Chamarajpet, for a CT scan on the advice of a neurologist from Jayanagar. Before conducting the CT scan, the doctors at the hospital gave her an injection and she died a few minutes later, Mr. Ramasubba said. Following the death of Kamala Bai, her relatives created a ruckus at the hospital and alleged that she died because of medical negligence, he said. On a complaint by one of her relatives, the Central Police have registered a case. The police are waiting for the autopsy report to ascertain the cause of death.
Dies
Ramakrishna (66) of Kengeri Satellite Town was killed on the spot after a lorry hit him near Katriguppe Junction at about 6.15 p.m. on Wednesday. Ramakrishna was standing on the pavement when the accident occurred. The Banashankari Traffic Police have seized the lorry. A search is on the lookout for the driver.
Falls to death
In another incident, a 22-year-old man died on the spot when he slipped and fell from the II floor of a commercial complex on KR Road in the Banashankari Police limits on Wednesday. He was identified as Shankar of Yelburga in Koppal district. He was working as a sales executive in a private firm here, the police said.
Arrested
The Rajagopalnagar Police on Tuesday arrested nine persons on a charge of dacoity and recovered from them gold ornaments, silver articles and a mobile phone, in all worth Rs. 15,000. The police gave the names of the arrested as Narasimha Murthy (26), Venkatesh (23), Vasanth (20), Manjunath (18), Vijay Kumar (24), Bannari (22), Shyam (20), Raja (22) and Gopi (18). They had allegedly barged into the house of Rajeshwari in GKW Layout on March 16 and robbed her of gold ornaments, wristwatches and other articles.
