Test series win guarantees Rs. 1 crore to Team India

NEW DELHI, MARCH 26. After the BCCI's Rs. 50 lakh bonus for the one-day series winning Indian cricket team in Pakistan, the Rashtriya Sports Academy today announced an award of Rs. one crore to Sourav Ganguly and his men if they do an encore in the Tests.

Dr. R.K. Gupta, the highest income-tax payee doctor, and chairman of the Rashtriya Sports Academy made this announcement at a press conference at the Delhi and District Cricket Association at the Ferozeshah Kotla stadium here.

The Indian team, which is visiting Pakistan after a gap of 15 years, has never won a Test there. The first of the three-Test series begins in Multan on Sunday.— UNI
