BANGALORE, MARCH 26. The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has taken exception to the remarks made by the former Prime Minister, H.D. Deve Gowda, against the Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, and the Congress President, Sonia Gandhi. It said Mr. Gowda was criticising the Krishna Government out of desperation. The KPCC spokesperson, V.R. Sudarshan, told presspersons here today that Mr. Gowda had become Prime Minister with the support of the Congress. There was no truth in his allegation that Mr. Krishna had undertaken the `Vijaya Dhundubi Yatra' at Government expense. He warned Opposition parties against making personal attacks against Sonia Gandhi, and said they would have to face the consequences if they did not stop it soon. Mr. Sudarshan appealed to political parties to conduct a dignified political campaign based on issues.
