Charles Sobhraj denied bail

KATHMANDU, MARCH 27. Nepal's Supreme Court has denied bail to Charles Sobhraj, upholding the verdict of a lower court, sending him to judicial custody on charges of murdering two tourists in Nepal in 1975.

A single Bench of Justice Min Bahadur Rayamajhi on Friday announced the verdict on a bail plea by Sobhraj, who is lodged in the Kathmandu Central Jail since his arrest on September 19 last.
