Two held for burning Vasan effigy

RAMANATHAPURAM, MARCH 27. The police arrested two persons on charge of burning the effigy of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president, G.K.Vasan, here today.

A section of Congress workers burnt the effigy of Mr.Vasan to protest against burning the effigies of party's top functionaries in different parts of the State recently.

They also shouted slogans against Mr. Vasan and accused him of tarnishing the image of party.
