THRISSUR, MARCH 27. A `padayatra' will be taken out here on Sunday as part of the Palayoor pilgrimage. The Vicar General, George Manadan, will hand over the papal flag to the Vicar, Joseph Pulikkan, at the Thrissur Lourdes Metropolitan Cathedral Church at 7 a.m. to mark the inauguration. Receptions will be accorded to the `padayatra' at St. Thomas College, Dolours Basilica, West Fort, Ayyanthole, Puzhakkal, Muthuvara, Amala, Chittilapilly, Parappoor, Peruvallur, Pavaratti and Pancharamukku. The Palakkad Bishop, Mar Jacob Manathodathu, will inaugurate a public meeting at the Palayoor church at 4 p.m. The Archbishop, Mar Jacob Thoomkuzhi, will preside. The Thrissur Auxiliary Bishop designate, Mar Andrews Thazhathu, and the Chancellor, Paul Alappatt, will also speak, says a press release.
