CHENNAI, MARCH 27. Isolated rainfall occurred over south Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over north Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal and north interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep.

The chief amounts of rainfall in centimeters are: Periakulam (Theni dt.) 3, Ambasamudram (Tirunelveli dt.) 2, Virudhunagar and Yelandhur (Mysore dt.) 1 each.

On Friday the maximum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, fell at one or two places over Telangana, Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places over Telangana and south interior Karnataka, rose at one or two places over north interior Karnataka and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly above normal at one or two places over Telangana, appreciably above normal at a few places over interior Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over Kerala, above normal at one or two places over rest Telangana, and south Tamil Nadu. FORECAST (valid until Monday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana. Mainly dry weather will prevail over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep.
