THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 27. The first scheme under the rural development project of a non-resident Keralites association, `Ente Gramam, Ente Swapnam' (My village, my dream), being implemented with the participation of non-resident Keralites, would be implemented at the Venganoor Government Model High School. Under the scheme, computer education facilities, reference library, infrastructural facilities for vocational training and drinking water would be provided. Addressing a press conference here today, K. Sathish Namboothiripad, Chief Executive of ROOTS, the development initiative of the Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (NoRKA) Department that will be the facilitator for `Ente Gramam, Ente Swapnam', said the project aimed at infrastructural development in villages and taking up other rural welfare schemes in Kerala with the active participation of non-resident Keralites. The Venganoor Government School was selected for the pilot project as it had recorded excellent results over the years in the Neyyattinkara educational district and was in need of more facilities. The drinking water supply project in the school and the construction of the computer education and library blocks would be inaugurated on March 30 in the school auditorium at Venganoor.
