CUDDAPAH, MARCH 27. Bharatiya Janata Party leaders have deplored the discontentment being expressed by the Telugu Desam Party leaders over allotment of the Proddatur Assembly constituency to the BJP. The district BJP president, N. Bali Reddy, and the party candidate for Proddatur seat, Kovvuru Balachandra Reddy, State executive member, K.V. Ramana Reddy and district general secretary, Easwara Raju, at a press conference at Proddatur last night, welcomed allotment of the seat to the BJP and prophesied that the party would defeat the Congress. If the TDP rebels worked against the BJP, the party would retaliate by damaging the TDP prospects all over the district, they warned.
