The maximum and minimum temperature recorded at Safdarjung on Saturday was 34.3 and 17.6 degrees Celsius, while Palam recorded a maximum of 35.1 and a minimum of 16.9 degree Celsius respectively. At Safdarjung, the maximum humidity was recorded at 56 per cent, while minimum humidity went as low as 14 per cent. Palam recorded a maximum humidity of 62 per cent and a minimum humidity of 19 per cent.
Islamic scholar awarded posthumously
Organised by the Institute of Objective Studies, the award was presented by the former Chief Justice of India, A.M.Ahmadi. Speaking on the occasion, the President of the All India Muslim Personal law Board, Syed M.Rabey Hasani Nadvi, described Maulana Shihabuddin's work as one that will continue to have significance for decades to come.
