Partly cloudy

CHENNAI, MARCH 27. The sky will be partly cloudy on Sunday. The maximum temperature will be around 34 degree Celsius.

Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 33.8 degree Celsius on Saturday and the minimum of 25.5 degree Celsius. Meenambakkam recorded a maximum of 33.7 degree Celsius and the minimum of 25.2 degree Celsius. Humidity level stood at 68 per cent and 74 per cent respectively.

Call centre

A call centre has been set up by the Anna Nagar division of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board on a trial basis. Allottees may contact 044-2615 4502 to get information on vacancy of plots, flats, houses and balance cost details.

Donated

A mortuary van was donated to Anatha Pretha Kainkarya Trust by the State Bank of India (SBI) on Saturday. P. Kothandan, Deputy General Manager, handed over the keys to the trustee.

Bank branch inaugurated

The Adyar branch of Lakshmi Vilas Bank was inaugurated by E. Balagurusamy, Vice-Chancellor of the Anna University.

ATM opened

K.K. Balu, member of the Company Law Board, inaugurated an ATM. Guests at the function included S. Ayyar, Managing Director of TASMAC, Vijay Viswanathan of M.V. Hospitals for Diabetes and Research Centre and senior advocate A.L. Somaiyaji.

`Kids Day'

Cambridge Matriculation Higher Secondary School organised `Kids Day' recently.

Students from Pre-KG to standard XI participated in the show and entertained the children.

Science exhibition

A science exhibition was organised by the Teachers Training Institute on March 25 and 26 at the Lady Willingdon Arts College.

Blood donation

A blood donation camp was organised by the State Bank of India, Thiruvanmiyur, in association with the Government Children Hospital, Egmore, and Nesam, an NGO, on Friday.
