U.S. farm journalists visit Aavin dairy

CHENNAI, MARCH 27. Agriculture journalists from the European Union and the United States have visited the Aavin Dairy at Sholinganallur near here.

B.K. Prasad, managing director, explained activities carried out in the dairy, including processing, quality control parametres and cleaning processes of milk. The general manager, M. Rajendran, demonstrated the important tests carried out by Aavin before distributing milk to consumers.

The journalists were impressed with the advanced technology employed in the milk procurement and processing by Aavin, according to an official release.
