BANGALORE, MARCH 27. Two scooter-borne youth snatched a handbag reportedly containing Rs. 30,000 in cash from a woman in Vijayanagar Police Station limits on Saturday. The police said Bharathi Anand, a teacher, was walking towards her house after drawing cash from the State Bank of India branch in RPC Layout when the culprits snatched the bag and sped away. Vijayanagar police have registered a case. Arrested: Yeshwanthapur police arrested two 15-year-old boys recently on the charge of vehicle theft. The police said two motorcycles and eight bicycles, together worth Rs. 1 lakh, were recovered from them. The accused had stolen the vehicles parked in front of houses in Yeshwanthpur Police Station limits, the police added.
