HYDERABAD, MARCH 27. The Narayanguda police have registered a cheating case against one Mohammed Ashan who cheated B .Murali Krishna, an aspirant who intended to contest as an Independent candidate in the coming elections, of Rs. 1.50 lakhs. It is learnt that Murali Krishna gave advertisements in newspapers to inform the public that he would be contesting from Himayatnagar Constituency. On seeing the advertisement, Mr. Ashan called him up and requested that he be appointed as his campaign manager. Mr. Ashan collected the amount from him promising him that he would mobilise workers and organise meetings. He however disappeared with the amount. Following this, Mr. Krishna lodged a complaint with the Narayanguda police.
