Rain likely in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI, MARCH 28. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over south interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are: Thiruvananthapuram and Varkala (Thiruvananthapuram dt.) 3 each and Thirupuvanam (Sivagangai dt.) 1.

On Saturday the maximum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places over rest Telangana, rest Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka, interior Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, above normal at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, north Kerala, appreciably below normal at one or two places over rest North interior Karnataka, and below normal at one or two places over south Kerala.

FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over south Kerala.

Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, North Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka and dry weather will prevail over Andhra Pradesh.
