Narendra upset over Kamareddy seat choice

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, MARCH 28. The Congress and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) are going to fight over Kamareddy seat looks imminent.

Senior TRS leader, A. Narendra, told reporters here on Sunday a contest was very much on the cards. He opposed the idea of fielding two minority candidates with the Assembly segments of one Parliamentary constituency - Medak - from where he is contesting.

The Congress had allotted ticket for the Zaheerabad and Kamareddy segments in this constituency to minorities. Meanwhile, supporters of Pyata Ramesh, an aspirant for TRS ticket from the Kamalapur segment in Karimnagar district, attacked the party office at Banjara Hills around midnight on Saturday. They were protesting against the denial of ticket to Mr. Ramesh.

Ex-MLA joins TRS

A former TDP MLA from Mudhole in Adilabad, Narayan Rao Patel, joined the TRS here on Sunday. Mr. Patel resigned from the TDP on Saturday protesting against the allotment of the Mudhole seat to the BJP.
