MYSORE, MARCH 29. Announcing the schedule for the elections to the Mysore Lok Sabha Constituency and the eight Assembly segments falling under it, the Deputy Commissioner, G. Kumar Naik, who is the election officer for Mysore Lok Sabha constituency, today appealed to the candidates not to take out processions when going to file their nomination papers. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Mr. Naik said processions would disrupt the functioning of the offices where the nomination papers were accepted. The filing of nominations for the Lok Sabha constituency and the Chamaraja, Narasimharaja, Krishnaraja, Chamundeshwari, H.D. Kote, Periyapatna, Hunsur and K.R. Nagar Assembly constituencies would start on March 31 with the issue of the election notification. The last date for submission of nominations was April 7. The papers would be scrutinised on April 8. The last date for withdrawal of nominations was April 10. Polling would be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 26, while the counting of votes would be taken up from 8 a.m. on May 13. Nominations should be submitted at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Mysore. He said the election officer for the Krishnaraja Assembly segment is P. Puttaswamy, Assistant Secretary, Mysore Zilla Panchayat, and the venue for filing nominations is room no. 9, ground floor, Mysore City Corporation. The election officer for the Chamaraja segment was the Corporation Commissioner, Ibrahim Adoor, while the venue for filing nominations is the commissioner's office, Mysore City Corporation building. The election officer for the Narasimharaja segment is the Registrar (Evaluation), Mysore University, NS. Nagaraju, and the venue for accepting nominations is room no. 3, ground floor, Mysore City Corporation office. The election officer for the Chamundeshwari constituency is Chikkathammaiah, Assistant Commissioner, Mysore, and the venue for accepting nominations is the taluk office, Mysore. The election officer for the H.D. Kote Assembly segment is the Project Coordinator, ITDP, Mysore, C.S. Jayaram, and the venue for accepting nominations is the taluk office, H.D. Kote. The election officer for the Hunsur Assembly seat is the Assistant Commissioner of Hunsur, G.S. Jiddimani, and the venue for filing nominations is the Assistant Commissioner's office, Hunsur sub- division, Hunsur. The election officer for the K.R. Nagar Assembly segment is the Registrar, KSOU, Mysore, V. Ramanna, and the venue for filing nominations is the taluk office, K.R. Nagar. The election officer for the Periyapatna segment is the Secretary, MUDA, Mysore, B. Ramu, and the venue for filing nominations is the taluk office, Periyapatna.
