Poll observers take stock of arrangements

HYDERABAD, MARCH 29. A six-member election observers team for the Secunderabad and Hyderabad Parliamentary constituencies met the District Election Officer and MCH Commissioner, Chitra Ramachandran, here on Monday and discussed the arrangements made for the smooth conduct of elections.

The DEO briefed them about the infrastructure put in place for the polls and steps taken thus far to sensitise political representatives and the general public on the electronic voting machines.

Team members arrived here on Sunday night. Four of them are general observers while two are expenditure observers.

Ravi Saxena and Baghela are general observers for the Secunderabad Parliamentary constituency while Waseem Ahmed is expenditure observer.

For the Hyderabad Parliamentary constituency, T. Balakrishnan and Sohan Lal are general observers while Ashok Aloke Jha is expenditure observer.

The observers are Fortune Katriya Hotel, Somajiguda, and will be available to the public during office hours in the conference hall no.217 for receiving any complaints.
