HYDERABAD, MARCH 29. R. Bhaskar Rao and B.V. Krishna Kumar have been elected president and secretary of Probus Club, a club of senior citizens, respectively for 2004-2005. The other office-bearers who were elected at a meeting held recently were: T. Sudhakar (vice-president), Tripta Sawhney (joint secretary) and Tilak Ram Mehta (treasurer). Mr. Krishna Kumar in a release said that the club, which had been taking up charitable activities, also sponsored Day Care centre for the aged on the premises of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Secunderabad. It also organised health and spiritual camps, he said. A retired IAS officer, M. Gopalakrishna, who was the chief guest at the installation function of office-bearers, called upon them to take measures to help senior citizens.
