TIRUPATI, MARCH 30. B. Karna (19) alias Bheemudu, a native of Pallipattu town bordering Tamil Nadu, was rounded up by the Tirupati crime sleuths led by the inspector, K. Narasimhulu, and special party inspector, G. Pothappa, on Renigunta road this evening and recovered 160 gm of gold ornaments and a motorcycle he had allegedly stolen. Upon investigation, he admitted to having stolen the jewellery and motorcycle all worth Rs. 1.60 lakhs. The jewellery, stolen from around half a dozen houses in the town and a devotee at the Govindaraja temple, was recovered by the police from those who bought it from Karna. The motorcycle was found hidden in a secluded place near the agricultural marketyard.
