Ernakulam LIC division's record
KOCHI: The Ernakulam LIC division is placed first in the South Zone encompassing Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pondicherry in absolute volume of business and fourth in the country in budget achievement, in first premium. The division has set a new record crossing Rs.100 crores first premium income and touching Rs.110 crores as at March 15, according to M. R. Kumar, Senior Divisional Manager of LIC. The Thrissur II branch has become the first branch in the zone to cross the Rs. 200 crores sum assured mark and occupies 10th position in the country among 2,048 branches of LIC on sum assured basis. In the pension market, the Ernakulam division is showing a growth of 70 per cent on number and 150 per cent on FPI. — Our Staff Reporter
