ALAPPUZHA, MARCH 30. The Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad (KSSP) will organise an all-India children's festival, `Sargotsavam', here from May 22 to May 26, the organising committee chairman, M.A. Baby, has said. At a press conference here today, Mr Baby said as many as 1,250 children from various States and the same number of children from various districts in the State would arrive at Alappuzha to participate in the festival. The participants would be provided accommodation at various houses in the district, said Mr Baby. Along with the KSSP various organisations working in the social sector are cooperating in organising the festival. The SDV School would be the main venue of the festival. The various programmes at the festival will be based on the ideas of democracy, secularism and rationalism. Prior to the all-India festival, two-day-long panchayat- level festivals would be held before April 20, said Mr Baby.
