KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 30. Protests by TDP supporters over the denial of party tickets to aspirants continued in the district. Irked over the allocation of TDP Manthani Assembly ticket to the Ramagundam Municipal Chairman, S. Satyanarayana, who recently shifted his loyalty from the Congress to TDP, supporters of the former MLA, C. Rami Reddy, went on a rampage in all the five mandals of the segment by destroying party flag posts and setting fire to the effigies of the Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu. The irate TDP cadre went berserk in Manthani, Mahadevpur, Godavarikhani, Tadicherla, Manthani Mutharam mandals by destroying the party flags and election material. Some of the supporters destroyed a pandal in front of the house of Mr. Satyanarayana Rao's father in Manthani. Mr. Rami Reddy's supporters are also exerting pressure on him to contest as an independent candidate. Meanwhile, the TDP ticket aspirants of Choppadandi segment, who were dejected following the allocation of party ticket to retired SRSP CE, Sana Maruthi, have decided to contest as independents from the segment. The former Minister, N Ramkishan Rao, the district Grandhalaya Samstha chairman, B Rajesham, the ZPTC member, K Chandrashekhar Rao, the party district vice-president, Karra Vidyasagar Reddy, were chalking out plans to contest as independents from the segment.
