Femina Miss India issue being probed

MUMBAI, MARCH 30 . It will be another 10 days before an enquiry will establish whether the newly-crowned Femina Miss India (World), Laxmi Pandit, is married or not.

Addressing mediapersons here this evening, A. P. Parigi, Managing Director of Times Infotainment Media Ltd, said that a committee had been set-up to look into the ``unfortunate'' matter and two rounds of dialogues had taken place with Ms. Pandit and her mother.

"We need more time and opportunity for Laxmi to speak to us and clarify her point before rushing off to a conclusion in this unprecedented situation," he said. — UNI
