HYDERABAD, MARCH 30. The A. P. Medical Health and Vaidya Vidhana Parishad Employees Union has welcomed the Government Order reinstating para-medical staff who had put in three years of service in the Medical and Health Department under the contract system. The contract system was started in 2001 and the contract workers were given extensions on yearly basis before the Government decided to do away with those who had completed three years and go for fresh recruitment, forcing the Union to launch an agitation, the Union leaders V. Rajagopal, Bhoopal and M. Rangaiah said. They appealed to the Government to do away with the contract system. They also demanded that the Government regularise the services of all the staff on contract in the Department.
