Held on charge of murder

Enraged over questioning his returning home in the late hours, Abbu Bezaram Ahmed (16) allegedly killed a relative, Fatima (40), by hitting her with a steel vessel at Vijaynagar Colony this afternoon. Fatima died on the spot. The Humayunnagar police arrested Ahmed.

Dies in road mishap

A painter of an advertising agency, S. Krishnamoorthy (32), was killed on Tuesday when a APSRTC bus hit from behind the motorcycle he was riding on the Narayanaguda flyover. The victim was a resident of Ramanthapur. The mishap occurred after the Musheerabad depot bus knocked him while he was going from Lingampally to Narayanaguda. The Narayanaguda police arrested the bus driver, Rashid Sharieff.

Man drowned

Manager of a farmhouse, Akbar Alam Khan, got drowned in the Gandipet tank on Monday evening. His body was retrieved on Tuesday. The farmhouse was located near the banks of Gandipet under the Narsingi police station area.
