CHENNAI, MARCH 30. A pillion rider of a motorcycle, which was involved in an accident with a lorry on 200 feet road near Senthil Nagar on Tuesday, succumbed to his injuries. The police said Rajith (32), a resident of Periyar Nagar, was proceeding to Retteri around 4.15 p.m. when a lorry hit the vehicle. Zahir Hussain, who was riding the bike, sustained injuries in the leg. Rajith and Hussain were rushed to a private hospital where the former succumbed to his injuries. The police have detained the lorry driver, Ajith Kumar, on charges of rash driving.
