BANGALORE, MARCH 30. The Deputy Commissioner of Bangalore Urban district, G.S. Narayanaswamy, on Tuesday ordered the postponement of the Karaga celebrations which were scheduled for Sunday at Anekal. According to an official release, Mr. Swamy ordered that the Karaga should be held only after the elections as there was tension in the town. As there are differences between two groups over holding the Karaga, a meeting of the two groups was called on Monday. However, both groups failed to attend the meeting. The release said another meeting would be held after April 20 to finalise a date for holding the Karaga.
