BANGALORE, MARCH 30. Light summer showers on Tuesday brought relief from the sweltering heat to the people of Bangalore. Those who left their offices early enjoyed the showers from home. Even those who got caught in the rain did not seem to mind. In residential areas, children running out of their houses and playing in the rain were a common sight. Two-wheelers skidded on the slippery road near the Seshadri Iyer Memorial Library in Cubbon Park. Other motorists rushed to their rescue of the riders. Traffic policemen at the General Post Office cautioned motorists over the public address system to slow down in view of the condition of the road.
