Over 11,000 students to appear for SSLC exam

PONDICHERRY, MARCH 31. As many as 11,214 candidates will appear for the SSLC (X Std) public examination from Pondicherry, which begins tomorrow.

A total of 5,720 girls and 5494 boys will appear for the examination through 32 centres.

The Deputy Director of Women's Education, R. Subbiah, said 997 candidates (including 405 girls) would appear for the Matriculation which would also begin tomorrow.

Six flying squads were formed. A total of 1,415 private candidates would take the exam.
