Temperature

TIRUCHI, MARCH 31 . The city today registered a maximum temperature of 38.6 degree Celsius and a minimum of 26.5 degree Celsius.

No water supply

There will be no drinking water supply in the following areas on April 1 and 2, owing to a technical snag in the mains of the Golden Rock Combined Drinking Water Supply Scheme: Ariyamangalam, Sangiliandapuram, Melakalkandarkottai, Alathur, Golden Rock, Central Prison area, K.Abishekapuram, Khajamalai, Crawford, Anbu Nagar, Senthaneerpuram, Ponmalaipatti, Subramaniapuram, Airport, Khajanagar, TVS Nagar, Mannarpuram, Kallukuzhi, Sundar Nagar and Renga Nagar. The alternate day supply to these areas would resume on April 3, said the Corporation Commissioner, Anand Patil, in a press release.

Liquor shops closure

The India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) shops in the district will remain closed on April 3, the Mahaveer Jayanthi, according to an official release.

Mettur level

The level in the Mettur dam stood at 24.47 feet today. The inflow was 47 cusecs, and there was no discharge.
