KOCHI, MARCH 31. Most of the panchayats in the district have given a good account of their Plan expenditure target for the year ending March 31, with several of them having recorded 100 per cent expenditure. The Thrikkakara grama panchayat had a total Plan allocation of Rs. 1.36 crores and achieved 100 per cent expenditure under the general head while the special component fund expenditure stood at 60 per cent. The panchayat has also submitted two drinking water projects to the District Planning Committee (DPC). Both the drinking water programmes are connected to the Thengode micro-drinking water project. The Nayarambalam panchayat has also recorded 100 per cent expenditure of Plan funds with the Plan money totalling Rs. 72.78 lakhs. The panchayat has also logged 100 per cent tax collection for the financial year ending March 31.
