Letters to the Editor
Sir, It is pathetic to see the present predicament of the Congress which is unable to forge an alliance with ideologically different parties that are regional in character. The lack of a charismatic leadership and dedicated party workers have led the Congress to this sorry state of affairs. K. Ramachandran, Usilampatti, T.N. * * * Sir, How is the Congress going to defeat the NDA, when its high command is unable to prevent its own partymen from shouting slogans against Sonia Gandhi, levelling charges against Kamal Nath and burning the effigy of top leaders? The vested elements, encouraged by unsuccessful candidates, are a serious setback to the party. A.H. Hatheeb, Nagore, T.N.
