Girl drowned in lake

PONDICHERRY, APRIL 1. An 18-year-old girl working in a private industry was drowned in the Ousteri lake near here today when she had a bath.

Police sources said she did not know swimming and had a bath a few metres away from the bank in a deeper area.

Fire Service personnel fished out the body from the tank.
