DEHRA DUN, APRIL 1. The World Bank-aided Agriculture Diversity Support Project (ADSP) for Uttaranchal has already started showing its results, according to the final survey report of the ADSP released here today. The report says that it had helped the state in shaping its agricultural, animal husbandry plans and projects. It also helped in the implementation of new technologies and the economic activities in the state. The Uttaranchal Chief Minister, Narayan Dutt Tiwari, thanked the Bank team for modifying the ADSP schemes as it was originally planned when it was part of Uttar Pradesh. He said realising the geographical nature and the emergence of the new state the WB team had modifying the schemes so as to help the new state as well as its farmers and agricultural artisans. Chief Secretary R.S. Tolia said with the implementation of ADSP schemes, Uttaranchal has gained rich experience which would be an important tool in all round development. He also praised the enhancement of the farmer's skills, development of the private sector and in the development of the rural infrastructure facilities. UNI
